About Ashley
Ms Ashley Sharell Williams was born on October 4, 1983. She was a mother of 2 sons Jaeden and Khalil, a soldier in the United States Army, an alumnus of South Carolina State with a Bachelors of Science Degree in Nursing.
Ashley was the positive product of a single mother. Ashley became a teen mom with her first son Jaeden at Lyman High School; Ashley then became a cheerleader and the “Home Coming Queen”. While attending South Carolina State University she gave birth to her second son Khalil. A couple of months later after graduating with her psychology degree in May 2008, Ashley decided to further serve her country by joining the United States Army.
Ashley was diagnosed with Cervical Cancer when taking a physical preparing for her deployment to Iraq. Since she could not be deployed Ashley decided to serve others by taking a new path so she chose to follow her life’s passion and enroll in SCS Nursing School in 2009. She also remained an active member of the Orangeburg and South Carolina State communities by pledging her love, devotion and spirit of service to Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Incorporated and Chi Eta Phi Sorority Incorporated.
She was only 26 years old when she lost her life to Cervical Cancer in 2010 and through her life with the loving spirit of service she gave birth to the Ashley Williams Foundation. Along with her mother Ms Janice Williams the Ashley Williams Foundation was organized to help single mothers like Ashley. The Ashley Williams Foundation was designed to serve others through providing Cervical Cancer Awareness and support groups.
Ashley left us with her vision of selflessness and serving others. Ms Janice Williams has invested her loving spirit in the Ashley Williams Foundation. With Ashley’s love this foundation is dedicated to helping others the way Ashley did.
Ashley’s family, friends and others that knew her, are all a part of a foundation that has their heart set on making a difference in the lives of others, just the way Ashley would have wanted us too.
